As a kid, did you enjoy fairy tales? Perhaps you still do as an adult. Well, if you have a minute, go to 30minutemoneymethods.com and watch their promotional video. Then we will decide if what you see is fact or fairy tale.
NAME: 30 Minute Money Methods
WEB ADDRESS: http://www.30minutemoneymethods.com
OWNER: Shelly West
PRODUCT: Secret websites
PRICE: $37 OR $27 + upsells
CREATED IN: 2017
RANK: 1 out of 5
The supposed owner, Shelly West, tells a tear-jerking story about being a single mother with two small children and no job. She seeks work online.
Meanwhile, she’s living on income from working as a waitress two days a week. Boy, I sure hope she works at a place where patrons leave good tips, as she will need them.
I wondered, “Does Shelly West even exist? So I googled her name, and came up with a Shelly West who was a country singer, but no one else by that name, and for certain no one who was a successful online business owner.
If her income from her business is so good, you’d think the internet would have some information about her. There is nothing. My guess is she does not exist, but uses that name as part of this fairy tale.
I checked with the Better Business Bureau, and they don’t even have a listing for this business.
In her introductory video, Shelly says she will give proof that this system works. She shows a couple of bank forms showing large amounts of money in a couple of accounts. This is not proof. These forms could be completely made up. There is certainly no proof from these that any money is being made.
If we could talk to the people face to face perhaps we could learn the truth.
The testimonials are done by hired actors. Go to fiverr.com and look for them. Why, you could hire them, too, and write your own fake program. Maybe you, too, would make the kind of money Shelly does.
Look carefully at the ticker tape under the video. There are five names on there that keep repeating. It is my guess that these, too, are fake.
And when you build your own fake money-making site, make sure you leave room at the bottom to show comments, something not normally done on an initial sales video. However, try to make your own comment. You can’t. What does that tell you about the comments that are on there?
Another red flag for me is that you are never really told how the business works. What do you do to make all that cash she promises you?
There are videos of the four methods Shelly West shows you that you can choose from, or you can use all four. The categories offered are doing online voice over work, stock photos, playing games online, and doing freelance work. Then you are offered two more bonus methods: Being the middleman and managing social media.
- Method 1: Making money from online voice overs
- Method 2: Making money online with stock photography
- Method 3: Making money by playing games online
- Method 4: Making money by freelancing online
- Bonus Method: Making money by being the middleman
- Secret Method: Making money managing social media
Looking at these topics, I can see that you could make money with them, but you couldn’t do it in 30 minutes. Let’s look at one for an example: Online freelance work. There are some good freelance websites offering jobs of many kinds that are available for you to use.
One of them, for example, is called freelancer.com. This site is an online agency that hooks up workers and employers. Freelancer.com offers a large variety of available jobs.
Yes, you can make money with this venue, but you will put in a lot more than 30 minutes and you won’t make a lot of money in one day.
Or you could join fiverr.com, where you could work as an actor doing fake video testimonials for fake companies. Hey, it helps make a living, just like the actors from fiverr.com on 30-minute Money Methods are doing.
These videos in themselves will give you an overview of the topic, but there is no real instruction and no ongoing training. How are you supposed to figure out what to do? I guess, since Shelly West had to figure it out for herself, so do you.
You are told you will need a website to promote this business, and Shelly West offers a hosting service, where she will make some more money. From what I’ve read, I’ve learned that it is a very poor hosting service, and not recommended.
Hey, by the way, a clue that Shelly West is fake: On her intro video she mispronounces “vigilance.” She says “viligence.” You would think she would know her own script well enough to pronounce words right.
I was not thrilled at the “secret website” idea. What makes them secret? And if she found them, why can’t we? If there are websites out there that allow you to make beaucoup dollars in 30 minutes, I’d think that many people would know about them.
The small print at the bottom of the web page is revealing. Yes, you can get your money back because of the standard Clickbank refund policy. You also will read that there is no guarantee that you will make the money promised. Of course you won’t. It is not possible, in my eyes.
For contrast, let’s look at the company I have chosen, Wealthy Affiliate. First of all, we know that the owners, Kyle Loudoun and Carson Kim, who started the company in 2005, are very much real and very active in our company.
They make no claims about how much you can make. It’s up to you. You have to build a website in a niche you have chosen and work to get it established.
Unlike 30 Minute Money Methods, where you have at best a sketchy training program, in Wealthy Affiliate you have training available for every facet of
website development. You are taught, step by step, how to build your website.
In Wealthy Affiliate there are no upsells. There is a real transparency with this company. They tell you upfront what you will pay. There are no hidden surprises.
Though you are expected to work at making your website profitable, you will watch and learn from other members of the Wealthy Affiliate community. In the process, you will read success stories from members who are making a full-time substantial income from their businesses.
The Wealthy Affiliate community is unique. They are very supportive, for one thing. When you need a boost or encouragement, they are there to give it. When you have a question about your business, ask the community, and you will usually get several answers.
There are no “secret websites” in Wealthy Affiliate. There are courses of study, where you can get answers to all the ins and outs of building an online business.
Many of the online training videos are made by Kyle, the owner, himself. These are updated from time to time. New tools and innovations are added regularly. Another cool thing about Wealthy Affiliate is that you can sign up and then get your first week free. After that, you can get your first month at $19.00. This allows you to decide if Wealthy Affiliate is a “fit” for you.
Then, the regular monthly fee is $49.00. Instead of upsells, you can get downsells. If you pay for six months or a year in advance, the monthly price drops.
I see Wealthy Affiliate as a win-win situation.
I hope you can see from the information here that 30 Minute Money Methods is not a good business investment.
Take a good look at this company and you can see that it is shallow and unsupported.
You might be able to make some money from these four “secret” methods, but not $500.00 per day
You can get a refund of your money from Clickbank
There’s no way Shelly West, or whoever she is, can deliver on the promises she makes.
The only person to make a great deal from this company is the owner, if she can find enough new recruits.
Your personal information will be sold to the highest bidder.
The material I saw was not truthful and is built on wild claims that I believe could not be true.
There is nothing about this company that I like. It is not truthful and is designed to take your money, while offering very little in return.
Why are people so quick to believe these claims? I find myself asking these questions many times as I write reviews. We would like to believe such pie-in-the-sky claims are true, but they never are.
When you are offered something that seems too good to be true, it is, usually. Unfortunately, I feel this “business opportunity” fits in that category. I would advise you to stay away from it.
On the other hand, if you understand that for true success, you have to learn and put in some effort to build something lasting and real, take a serious look at Wealthy Affiliate. I think you will be impressed.
